Saba- May 18th- The Shelter 

Join in with host Saba, touring in support of his 2018 “CARE FOR ME” album release in April. Hailing from the west side of Chi-town, he made a name for himself as a member of Pivot Gang. Having become known for his highly stylized lyrics and aggressive delivery, he has an intense stage presence. He is most notable for his collaboration with Chance the Rapper on the Late Show hosted by Stephen Colbert, which pushed him to become a record producer as well. To hear him live, click below.


Bloody Friday- May 18th- The Sanctuary 


Hosted by Bloody Baby and $enpai, this is going to be one hype show! Party with some of the best Trap producers in Detroit. Featuring over 10 underground artists, this show is perfect for ballers on a budget. With tickets at $10 and free for the ladies before 10:30 pm. With featured vendors Nevadi and Dgenerate.


Only Lo-Fi Vol. 1 - May 18th - 3439 Livernois Ave. Detroit 

Have you been waiting for the Lo-fi scene to take off? Well here is the answer to your prayers. With 14 artists on the line-up, it's a great way to meet who is in the Lo-Fi scene. Suggested donation at the door. Come on out and do your part to contribute to the growth of the underground.


Sumn Light  - May 18th -Hilltopz Studios

Clay Hova and Madame Fajita are bringing back the early 2000's with this one, in collaboration with blogger and culture curator Uncle Tae of the Whlgn. This fun show is catered by Chef Fresh and The Mobile Juice Bar with DJ Dagger providing beats for the night. Half of all proceeds earned are going to Clay's non-profit "Clay Hova Cares". Do some good and get your dance on. It's a themed event so be sure to break out your Pink! Sweats and baggy pants.


John Ryan's Disco Sludge Factory -  May 18th - Northern Lights Lounge

I hope y'all are ready for this one! John Ryan is laying down some serious trippy disco for our Electric heads. This local gem is blazing through with a 4-hour set on the back patio. No cover so there's no reason to pass it up.


BODY WORX Return to Acid Phantasy 3 wsg BMG- May 18th - Temple bar

Whether returning or joining the weirdness for the first time, this show should deliver. Dretraxx is hosting BMG of Interdimensional  Transmissions; two heavy hitting, local acid house and techno talents. At only $3 this is a great show for the road to movement weekend.   


Evolve Fashion Show - May 19th - Hamilton Tucker Art Gallery

Ready to be a part of the fashion revolution? This is the local show you won't want to miss. Hosted by Apeezy and Uncle Tae presenting "Collection Haute Couture & Street Fashion Spring-Summer 2018-19". Resetting the preconceived standards of how fashion should be. Come get inspired for this year's latest trends while supporting local talent. 


Haute To Death - May 19th - Marble Bar

It's the third Saturday of the month already, so you know what that means! Haute To Death - an Ann Arbor native currently based out of Portland, OR. His unique and airy style of synth forward mixing should be a perfect warm up for Movement weekend.


A C R O N Y M Presents Found In The Underground - May 19th - Tangent Gallery/HastingStreet Ballroom

ACRONYM is putting on an amazing show at Tangent. With a broad focus on art of all mediums, promoted as a space for encouraging collaboration and networking within the community. With over 36 mixed media artist features including ACRONYM Detroit and Evil Rico visuals, this should prove to be one immersive experience. Musical performances by Micah Cotner, i, Jake Webb & The Commitments, Drizzle, and Roman Holliday of PVRTY HVRD.
